Aspire Counselling
At Aspire, we recognize that traditional counselling approaches often need to be adjusted to better support neurodivergent minds. Our services are neuro-affirming and responsive, meaning we adjust counselling to fit you and help support your goals.
In counselling, this could look like adapting communication styles to include visuals and direct language, providing more structure to sessions, allowing for virtual delivery, being mindful of pacing and processing time, and considering individual sensory preferences. In our sessions we are sensory aware and can make accommodations such as fidgets, movement breaks, alternative seating, and lighting as needed. We aim to minimize barriers throughout the counselling process, making documentation and sessions accessible and direct.
